English, 廣東話 More recently, I had two cats for eight years (one rescued from the streets) in the US prior to moving here. Here’s a little about my experience and pet care philosophy: Timeframe: I’ve cared for friends’ pets while they were on extended leave (2-6 weeks). Since I work remotely, I structure play time and training a few times a day. My best student so far is a kitty who learned four tricks in two weeks :) Types and age: I have experience with small dogs (newborn requiring bottle feeding to 12 years old). I’ve also cared for cats (5 weeks to 10 years old). Special care: I’ve cared for one senior dog senior dog who needed daily medication crushed in his food and had hip issues requiring a special pickup method. I’ve also cared for cats sensitive to UTIs and require mashed and diluted meals that I’d prepare 2-3 times a day. Hygiene/Grooming: I am comfortable bathing cats and protecting their faces/ears, trimming their nails, and brushing them. I do not provide grooming for dogs outside of brushing them. They get their paws and sensitive parts wiped/rinsed after every outing. Feeding: I am rather strict with food portioning and weigh meals because I’ve had friends with overweight pets who I helped diet and exercise. I only offer locally produced freeze-dried meat treats during training sessions.
